We completed one tournament at Jamaica Inn.
The next one planned is the Jamaica International Backgammon Championship schedule for September 28 to October 2 at Bamboo Blu in Mammee Bay, Ocho Rios.
Tournament History in Jamaica:
- First major tournament held at Countryside Club in 1995.
- In early 2000s, Spanish Court Hotel and Strawberry Hill hosted tournaments.
- 100 hosted tournaments in 2017 & 2018.
- Grog Shoppe and CRU hosted pre-tournament games.
- The Jamaica Open International moved to Jamaica Inn in 2016.
- The Jamaica International Backgammon Championship began in 2022 at Bamboo Blu in Mammee Bay, Ocho Rios.
Pre-tournament games are held on Tuesday evenings at Chez Maria’s rooftop garden restaurant.
